The Men's Golf Association is a social group dedicated to enhancing the golf experience for the male members of the River Creek Country Club in Leesburg, VA. Members must be over 18 years of age, hold full golf memberships, and be in good standing with the Club. Dues for the Association are separate from the monthly golf membership and are assessed once annually, typically in March. Membership dues cover entry into most of the tournaments held throughout the calendar year--the exceptions are the 1-Day Member-Guest and the Member-Member, which have premium food & beverage packages and prizes. Event Registration
Registration must be completed by the Close of Business (COB) on the Wednesday prior to the event. If an event is full at the time of registration, members may elect to remain on a standby list. As final event rosters and pairings are built, pro shop staff standby list will be used to fill available spots as needed. Players are asked to ensure their schedules permit participation at the times they register. There will be NO adjustments once the final rosters/pairings are published, play will be conducted on the assigned date and time for the event as scheduled.
The MGA adheres to USGA rules and abides by the VSGA rulings which help define members handicaps. The USGA and VSGA rules governing amateur play defines Seniors as age 55 and Super Seniors as 65. As such, to participate in these divisions, members must be:
Seniors, age 55 by 1 July of the tournament year
Super Seniors, age 65 by 1 July of the tournament year
For select events, the use of "Tournament Tees" will be set in the Conditions of Play. In these events, ALL players will use the same tees with an adjusted course handicap to create a fair and level playing field.
Budget
2026 budget has been set and dues will be $225 per MGA Member for 2026.
The club accounting department will apply MGA dues during the February or March billing cycles. MGA will receive a deposit into the MGA bank account and the MGA will pay the club for all events, to include: food, sweeps, and contests.
